About the painting:
This studio painting is based on a smaller plein air painting I created on location at Maymont Park, one of Richmond Virginia's true treasures. Springtime in Virginia is always so incredibly beautiful. I always have a sense of hope and renewal when the flowering trees and spring bulbs come into bloom.
