About the painting:
This painting was inspired by a springtime family trip to Charlottesville, Virginia. This was painted from photos and memory of the cherry blossoms in the gardens of Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. It is one of my family’s favorite places to visit in the area, especially in spring when the fruit trees are in bloom.
