About the painting
This painting was inspired by a plein air trip I took to Virginia Beach. There is a nature preserve there called Pleasure House Point that is home to many wetland creatures and water fowl. It’s a beautiful peaceful natural setting—so peaceful that you’d never realize how close you are to the city.
