I can confirm receipt of “Irises at Abbaye Nouvelle.”  I was very pleased by the careful packing and the perfect condition in which the painting arrived as well as so promptly after my purchase.  I was so happy with the art itself that I have already hung it up in my office.  I have bought several paintings over my life and visited countless galleries.  I love landscape art but struggle to find pieces that evoke an emotional feel and capture some sort of the essence of the underlying landscape.  As a boy, I spent two summers about an hour’s drive from the Abbaye Nouvelle.  I still have vivid memories of the rich smell of the soil and the gentle summer breeze of the region mixed in with the fragrance of the many beautiful flowers.  There was an easy pace to life that seemed to amble by like the slow drift of the clouds above.  Jennifer’s painting captured some of that in her painting and she clearly connected with the atmosphere of the location. She has been a pleasure to deal with and I look forward to seeing future pieces she produces when her travels once again take her back to Europe.

Hello Jennifer-

The painting arrived at 11: 00 a.m. with Fed Ex and I did not open the box but put it in my SUV for the 90 mile drive to my framers in Lower Roswell, GA.  We all opened the box carefully at the store and all your wrapping protected it thru the mailing process.  Everyone gasped when they saw the painting and thought it was one of the most beautiful oil paintings that they have seen.  We chose a frame within a frame to pick up the colors in the painting.  The thin inner frame is a cream-white wood with a scrolled dark gold olive leaf and the outer frame is a wide flat different colored tint gold that reflects the different colored gold in the church dome. I hope to pick up the picture on Tuesday and can not wait to hang it up.  Thank you for the lovely note and the photo of the painting with the certificate. This was put in a large envelope and will be taped to the back of the painting.  

Thank you again for doing this painting for me. I now have 7 paintings and look at them each day around my house. They all make me happy and give me a sense of peace.

I met Jennifer in April of 2005 when she came to New Orleans. Luckily, she brought some of her paintings of Italy. I could tell from the moment I met her that her art was a reflection of how she saw the world. She is a beautiful, gentle soul.
