About the painting:
This painting was created as part of a series of snow-themed landscapes I painted for an exhibit at Gallery Flux entitled "Snow | Stillness Covers the Land". The location is North Run Creek in north Richmond, near the Jefferson Lakeside Country Club. I painted a smaller version of this scene during that snowfall a few years ago and always knew I wanted to revisit it in a larger piece. The "Snow" show provided me with the nudge I needed to make it happen.
