I rarely flesh out my value studies with this much detail, but I really wanted to play with composition and subtle values in these little pieces to better understand the foggy and mysterious atmosphere that sometimes settles over the beautiful island of Vinalhaven, Maine. This is the first variation of a pair of studies I did of the same location, seen from different angles.
