This original gouache is painted on 6x8” archival cold press watercolor paper. It is matted with a 8x10” soft white archival mat and packaged in a protective cello-sleeve, to be framed in a style of your choosing. About the painting:

The Outer Banks of North Carolina is my “happy place”. In fact, it has been the place for fun and renewal for both myself and my family for a number of years. While these are family trips, I often bring my paints in case I can catch a quiet moment to capture the beauty of the shore. I gather lots of reference material on these trips, especially on my morning walks when the beach is at its most peaceful. This painting was done while at the beach house using my photo references, memory and imagination. Gouache has a special character that seems to lend itself very well to these bright, airy, coastal scenes.
