About the painting:
This painting is of a charming village in southern France that my husband and I visited on a drive through the countryside. Bonnieux is towards the east of the Luberon region of Provence, between Lourmarin (where we made our home base) and the town of Lacoste. There are a great many pretty villages in this region, and Bonnieux is no exception. We enjoyed drinking in this lovely town and the expansive view that stretched over the rooftops and out for miles beyond, through the valley, and out to the foothills.
